we have a thought experiment for you: if you were stricken with grief what type of music would help you the most? there is an argument that forcing yourself to sit still and listen to melancholy music makes psychic pain better--through catharsis. But others argue this tactic is dangerous and will only make things worse.

erik sanden lived this experiment. in the wake of a very dark time, he listened to a lot--a whole lot--of morrissey.

and he found that there is no definitive answer. he got bette--albeit very very slowly. so, the question remains, did morrissey help or delay the healing?
